Twenty One
Best Drinking Game for Large Groups Without Cards
Twenty One is a great drinking game for large groups because it gets everyone involved. It’s a chilled one to start with, so it’s a good ice breaker game for groups that are a bit shy. You don’t need any equipment so you can play it anywhere!
What You’ll Need:
- Just your drinks!
How Long Does it Last? Anywhere from 5 – 15 minutes works best
Number of Players: 10+ people
How to Play Twenty One:
The overall aim of this game is to avoid saying ‘twenty-one’, otherwise, you’re the one who has to drink!
All the players need to first get into a large circle.
To get the game started, the first person will say “I propose a game of twenty one to my right (or left)”
The player to the right (or left) can then say either “two”, which means the player to the right of them is next to go. Or they can say “two, three” which switches the direction, so the player to their left will be next to go. The player could also have said “two, three, four”, which means that they skip a person, so the next player to go would be the next but one to the right. Still with me?
You then continue counting up using those rules until a player has to say 21, then they must drink.
The game can be made a bit more interesting by adding other rules as well. For example, an action has to be made when a player says a certain number. A new rule is usually made after every round.
Pass the Parcel
Most Creative Drinking Game for Large Groups
The drinking game version of pass the parcel is great for large groups. It’s exactly the same as the kid’s party version, but each layer of wrapping paper has a truth or dare task that the player has to do. You can be as harsh as you’d like with the truths and dares, but it’s best to start with nice and easy ones! If the player decides they don’t want to do the truth or dare, you can have a forfeit of downing your drink. You can choose any prize for your pass the parcel drinking game. A good idea is a pint glass that you can fill at the end with a splash of everyone’s drink, the winner then has to drink it as the prize!
What You’ll Need:
- A small prize
- Wrapping paper
- Some music
How Long Does it Last? Around 10 minutes
Number of Players: 10+ people
How to Play the Drinking Game Version of Pass the Parcel:
- First you’ll need to wrap the prize in a layer of wrapping paper. Wrap the present again but underneath the layer, have a truth or dare written on a small piece of paper. Repeat this so there are around 6-10 layers.
- Get all the players in a circle and pass the parcel around until the DJ stops the music.
- Whichever player the music stops on, must unwrap a layer and do the truth or dare written on the paper.
